Dyslexia Evaluation

The Dyslexia Test Set Evaluation focuses on key linguistic risk factors tied to reading and spelling challenges. The results of these tests provide insights for helping your student overcome these challenges.

• Word Attack (reading nonsense words)
• Word & Sentence Reading Fluency
• Sound Blending, Deletion, & Substitution
• Rapid Letter & Phoneme Naming
• Spelling & Spelling of Sounds
• Picture & Academic Vocabulary

The Dyslexia Test Set takes approximately an hour to administer depending on your student's abilities. Some of the tests are timed to assess fluency and accuracy speed.

Helping Your Child

Helping your child overcome dyslexia can be rewarding, but it takes a lot of patience and support. We can help you understand how to create a positive and stress-free learning environment. By using multi-sensory teaching methods, you can lead your child to success in reading. Sometimes using a tutor or reading specialist is necessary, but we can help guide you to a plan that will offer you and your child plenty of encouragement and reassurance to boost his (and your) confidence and motivation.

The Dyslexia Test Set is an optional add-on to the standard Woodcock-Johnson V Achievement Test that we offer for all homeschool students.
